More natural voice conversations with GPT-Live 1

Voice conversations in AI-Public now use GPT-Live 1 by default, in the browser and on iOS and Android. The model listens and speaks at the same time, so you can interrupt it to add something or rephrase your question. This makes the conversation feel more natural.

For example, you can use a voice conversation to prepare an explanation of municipal services. Tell the model who the explanation is for and ask it to use clear language. Is the answer too complicated? Interrupt it right away and ask for a simpler explanation or a specific example.

GPT-Live 1 passes more complex questions and requests that require tools to an underlying text model. This means you can make those kinds of requests during a voice conversation too.

Gemini Live remains available as an alternative in the browser if your organization uses Google for voice.
