For professionals in the public sector, secure and efficient document handling is essential. To make working with policy documents, reports, and public information even smoother, local file support in the AI-Public desktop app has been significantly expanded.

Where you previously had to upload documents manually, the desktop app can now read and write files directly on your computer. This makes it possible to edit Excel files, work on Word documents, and generate PDF reports directly in a local folder of your choice. Files that require conversion, such as .docx or .xlsx files, are processed automatically and in the background by the application.

You can easily set up this feature in the desktop app settings. Under Settings -> Local files, add the desired folder once. From that moment on, AI-Public can analyze and edit files within this folder, ensuring a faster workflow and optimal control over your local document management.
